Taking advantage of the alone time that 2020 gave to the world, Jimmy set up a month long recording session at home to write and record “Intermission”, with the project being called Cat Crown. “I was interested in creating airy, magical sound spaces. Using primarily vibraphone and metallophone gave the music a really unique tone which lent itself to quiet and meditative compositions. Adding a bit of synthesizer for warmth was all it needed to sound complete”.
Consisting of seven new original pieces, Cat Crown: Intermission will be released in Spring 2021, on King of Beasts Records, distributed worldwide by TheOrchard Music.
